The style taught at CDS Academy of Martial Arts comes from the Chinese martial arts family. The curriculum is developed on the specific styles of ChinNa, Tien Shan Pai, Tai Chi Chuan, and Kuoshu. Tien Shan Pai

At the same time, it also contains graceful empty-hand and weapons forms stressing rhythm and "ing shou"--the demonstration of power accentuated by solid thuds made by the hands. Tien Shan Pai self-defense is characterized by attacks from the side coupled with multiple blocks, so that if one block fails, the second can cover. Footwork is considered essential to countering attacks; Tien Shan Pai focuses on low, steady steps to the side, along with swift "hidden" steps to trick the opponent.

Tai Chi Chuan
is an internal form of martial arts that is proven to correct many medical conditions, including high and low blood pressure, arthritis, asthma, digestive disorders, etc.  This ancient form of Moving Meditation is also an excellent way to relieve stress and increase energy.

ChinNa
is the art of seizing and grappling.  This style of joint locks allows you to control your opponent or attacker without a damaging strike.
